Economy Lessons

Here at Leicester Education we understand that cost is the main prohibiting factor in private tuition, as such we have created what we call economy lessons.

Why does private tuition cost so much anyway? The main answer is in prep work. You don't see it but each lesson requires 1 to 2 hours of prep work beforehand, creating resources, marking work and planning the flow of the lesson being the main factors. An economy lesson has no prep work as such we can pass the savings onto you in the form of cheaper lessons.

Does that mean we don't get a decent level of service? No is the simple answer. What you will get is 1 hour of one to one tuition with a fully trained teacher able to help and develop your mathematical understanding. What you lose is the planning time beforehand.

With an economy lesson, you can:

• Expect your tutor to arrive on time
• Be able to answer any questions you might have
• Able to teach any topic requested or required during the lesson
• Ask for elements of the standard lesson though be understanding if it can't be provided due to time commitments.

Standard Lessons

Our standard lessons include full prep work with each lesson planned and tailored to your individual requirements. We will prepare resources which are yours to keep and provide work books for the duration of your tuition. If studying for your exams we also provide 1 printed exam paper per lesson and if completed it will be marked and feedback given in the following lesson.

With a standard lesson, you can:

• Expect your tutor to arrive on time
• Be able to answer any questions you might have
• Able to teach any topic requested or required during the lesson
• Have planned the lesson to meet your specific needs
• Have resources prepared where applicable
• Provide a school exercise book to work from
• Provide a text book if requested (a deposit is required which will be refunded when returned)
• Provide 1 fully printed exam paper per lesson
• Set and mark homework on a weekly basis
• Provide feedback after each lesson when requested

Special Offer

If you have a sibling or friend at the same level as you we can provide tuition for 2 students for the price of 1 on both plans! Split the cost or give a friend a helping hand it's up to you.

Smallish print...

• Tuition must take place at the same time and location
• Remember it won't be one to one tuition, sounds obvious but please understand how it will impact the lesson
• For the sake of your learning we recommend close friends or family only. You need to feel able to open up during the lesson and able to ask questions without embarrassment. This can be difficult when working with someone else.

Payment

For the first month we accept payment at the end of each lesson. We understand that this is a trial period for both of us and should you wish to cancel your tuition you may do so with no financial difficulties.

After the first month we kindly request payment in advance on the first of each month by standing order. For advice about setting up a standing order please ask us or check your own banks website.

Cancelations

We understand that life is never simple for yourselves and us! Should either of us have to cancel then we ask that you do so with consideration for the other and follow common sense.
